godbait: Ahhh <3 From working at an aquarium, I can tell you for a fact, horseshoe crabs are the shit. They’ve been around longer than the dinosaurs and their only defense is their shell. Their tail isn’t used to stab people or prey in defense, its used to flip back over when their stuck on their back. They have 10 eyes, 2 compound, and 8 simple eyes located all over their bodies. They have blue blood, that can be used for disease detection and they’re more closely related to spiders than they are to crabs. They’re my favorite thing to talk about cause they are literally the coolest things!
